What to Expect

Yacht financing is not a large boat loan. The asset, the ownership questions, the surveys, and the lenders at this level are a different category. We finance yachts from $500,000 through $10 million and above: new builds, pre-owned, dealer and private party, including foreign-flagged vessels and transactions requiring USCG documentation. Every deal is built around the specific vessel, the specific buyer, and the specific closing.

LENDER NETWORK

Every New Horizon program is backed by direct, earned lender relationships built over three decades of steady transaction volume. When we bring your yacht transaction to a lender, it arrives with thirty years of history and performance behind it. That standing is your leverage.

PROGRAM APPROACH

No two yacht transactions close the same way. A $700,000 pre-owned motoryacht with survey conditions and LLC title is a different deal than a $4 million new build financed in a family trust. We design around what's actually true about your situation: income, ownership goals, intended use, and the vessel itself, before a single lender conversation.

  • SURVEY RISK

If a marine survey or inspection uncovers repairs, structural issues, or a lower-than-expected value, the deal isn't over. We'll guide you from approval to closing and help you navigate any changes.

  • INCOME COMPLEXITY

Self-employed or have non-traditional income? We work with lenders who understand it and can help you find the right loan options, including stated income programs for qualified buyers.

  • CASH VS. FINANCING

Even if you can pay cash, financing may still make sense. You could qualify for tax benefits and keep more of your money invested. We'll help you compare your options before you decide.

What Differentiates Us From The Others

The New Horizon Approach

We understand how boats & Yachts are valued

A yacht loan isn’t the same as a car loan. Yachts are worth different things depending on age, survey status, and value. Lenders also care about the boat’s type, size, and how you’ll use it.

We figure all that out first so your loan is set up the right way before we talk to lenders. You’ll understand every detail, not just the rate.

THE SITUATIONS MOST LENDERS AVOID ARE THE ONES WE'RE BUILT FOR

Self-employed? LLC or trust owner? Buying a unique yacht? Need a non-standard closing date? Been turned down by a bank? We specialize in loans built around your situation, not just a credit-score product.

If your bank said no or gave you a number that didn't work for you, that's often where our clients' conversations with us begin.

YOU'LL UNDERSTAND EVERY TERM BEFORE YOU SIGNing

Yacht loans can be confusing. Rates, loan-to-value, surveys, insurance rules, and closing steps are often skipped over. We explain every rate, every term, and why each choice was made.

If any detail isn’t quite right, we’ll efficiently revise with the lender before you sign. Nothing at closing will be a surprise.
